Yesterday I gather with my Brothers over 100 strong to honor one of our own. It was a long chilly not cold ride to the Tennessee mountains. Our Brother a Vietnam Veterans of 4 tours in Vietnam as a Army Medic. He was medically discharged at 100% for PTSD and other injuries. He had struggled with the demons of war for all these years. He had survived a divorce, dealing with the Veterans Administration and too many dreams. On several occasions when he was living in Florida his wife would call me and tell me he’s got his gun and has shot holes in the house and we are surrounded by police. I would rush over and explain to the police what was happening and I could get him to give me the gun. They were very understanding. I must say the first time this happened I was not totally sure he would give the gun to me, but he did. This went on several times while he lived in Florida. After his divorce he move to the moutains. I would go see him atleast once every four months.
